Why am I being offered swimming when I have no pool?

You should not be. Go to Account, then Preferences, then What you do, and tick only the places and equipment you can actually get to. The activity library then stops showing you the rest. If you had already answered and still saw it, tell us, because that is a bug and not a setting.
