Eight weeks can change a lot.

Your weight. Your strength. Your fitness, mobility, nutrition and energy. 8 Weeks Ahead pairs an individual exercise assessment and an individual nutrition assessment with eight weeks of progressive exercise, nutrition education and accountability.

No crash diets. No extreme workouts. No generic plans.

You work directly with Andrea Leonard, MS, and Wendy Gough, BS, CNS. Before the first session, each of them meets with you to find where you are today and what you can realistically improve in eight weeks.

Two experts. Two assessments. One plan.

It starts with you, one on one.

Andrea Leonard

Physical and movement assessment

Andrea Leonard, MS

Andrea has more than 30 years of experience training exercise specialists and has written 21 books on exercise. She meets with you individually to look at:

  • Posture and muscle balance, imbalances that can add to pain, joint stress, restricted movement and lower performance
  • Range of motion, including limits from an injury, a surgery or another condition
  • Biomechanics and movement patterns, compensations and inefficient movement
  • Balance and stability, gaps that affect exercise, daily life and fall risk
  • Strength and functional movement, weak spots, differences between sides, and the right place for you to start

You exercise in a group. Your recommendations and modifications fit your body, your limits and your goals.

Wendy Gough

Nutrition and lifestyle assessment

Wendy Gough, BS, CNS

Wendy makes nutrition science practical and easy to use in everyday life. Instead of a one-size-fits-all diet, she looks at:

  • Current eating patterns
  • Health and weight goals
  • Medical and nutrition history
  • Medications and supplements
  • Energy and fatigue
  • Sleep
  • Digestion
  • Food preferences
  • Lifestyle and schedule
  • The challenges that make change hard

Together you choose nutrition and lifestyle changes you can start during the program and keep after it ends.

Exercise, nutrition and accountability

Two sessions a week, for eight weeks.

After your assessments, you join two 45-minute group sessions each week. Andrea adjusts the exercises to what she found in your assessment. Wendy teaches practical nutrition, answers questions live, and works through real situations with the group.

What you train

What you work toward

Stronger, fitter, and ready to keep it.

  • Lose excess weight and body fat
  • Build and keep lean muscle
  • Get stronger and fitter
  • Improve posture, mobility, balance and movement
  • Work around physical limits that get in the way of exercise
  • Eat better without extreme dieting

The goal is not only to weigh less. It is to finish stronger, fitter and able to keep your progress.

Why start before the holidays

Most people wait until January.

You get an eight-week head start.

You reach the holidays with two months of steady exercise, better nutrition, more strength and healthier habits behind you. You enjoy the season without feeling you have to start over when it ends.

Limited enrollment

Ten places. Real attention.

This is not an anonymous online fitness challenge. Andrea and Wendy each meet with every person before the first session. It is for men and women ready to commit to real change, not another quick fix.
